Year 601 of the Second Era (2E 601) is a year in the Tamrielic calendar, the 601st year after Potentate Versidue Shaie declared the start of a new Era which most of Tamriel use as a reference for the start of the Second Era.
2E 601 marked the end of the Three Banners War, which had raged since 2E 580. Queen Ayrenn I Arana was slain by her X Eridion Aeldaris, and the Aldmeri Dominion collapsed thereafter, prompting the first trans-Tamrielic Great Council which formally ended the Three Banners War by declaring a ceasefire after the events of Ayrenn I's bloody conquest through Cyrodiil.
