Almer Harlore was a member of House Harlore and a son of King Saleth V Harlore of the Vale. He fought against the Aranas during Aerel's Invasion of the Summerset Archipelago, leading a successful assault upon the Arana encampment during the dead of night with his sister, Neia Harlore, though was ultimately slain alongside his sister by Nereon the Winged Shadow, Aerel Arana's gryphon.
Appearance and Character[]
Almer largely took after his father in appearance, looking the most like him of all King Saleth's children. He bore dark brown hair, and was known to have been growing a goatee like that of his father, though only could manage to grow some stubble.
Both Almer and his sister Neia dismissed much of the pagentry that came with nobility, often employing unorthodox or "sly" solutions when dealing with problems which other commanders would not risk. For the two siblings much of life was a risk, and every road was open in the path to victory.
History[]
Almer served as a commander of his father's army during Aerel's Invasion, during which he opposed the Aranas in their invasion of the Summerset Archipelago.
During the war he and his sister Neia took a splinter force of their original host and attempted a night assault upon the Arana encampent across the Blue Fork river in Elorne. Crossing the river on barges with muffled oars, the siblings led the attack upon their foe's rear, inflicting heavy casualties before falling back once the Arana host began to rouse and fight back. While on their barges sailing back across the river, Nereon, the gryphon of Aerel Arana, destroyed their barges and slew the two Harlore siblings in the river.
