The Apprentice is a constellation. It is composed of eight bright stars and three dim stars that form the shape of an apprentice wizard.

The Apprentice burns the brightest in the sky during the month of Sun's Height. It is a common superstition among some cultures of Tamriel to believe that those born under the Apprentice have a greater affinity for magic, and are also more vulnerable to its effects.
The Apprentice is considered to be the charge of the Mage constellation, tasked with defending him from the wrath of the Serpent.
