Queen Ayrenn I Arana, also called Ayrenn Arana Aldmeri and the Unforseen Queen, was the Xth member of House Arana to rule the Summerset Isles, ruling from 2E 580 to 2E 601. She died without any surviving children, marking the extinction of her House. Her paternal cousin, Alwinarwe Neiaron, succeeded her as Queen.
Ayrenn showed great promise in her early youth, but such certainty and security was thrown to the wind when she disappeared from the Summerset Archipelago on the eve of her acceptance into the Sapiarch's Labyrinth, one of the many symbolic rituals an heir apparent to the Marble Throne must undertake. She returned after seventeen years, following the death of her father King Hidellith II, to take the throne from her brother, Prince Naemon, who had taken up the responsibilities she opted to neglect.
Ayrenn is, for the most part, not remembered fondly by either the nobility or the commoners of Alinor, who both despised the queen during her reign for corroding Altmeri culture, upsetting the natural order, and brazenly dismissing traditions and customs held dear by Altmeri nobles and commoners alike for thousands of years. Some Sapiarchs have described her years on the throne as a "covert reign of terror".

Quotes by Ayrenn[]
Pelidil: We heard sounds of battle. What happened?
Ayrenn: There was an accident. My brother gave his life to protect us. He died a hero.
Pelidil: At once, Your Grace.
Pelidil: I... I don't...
Ayrenn: I will soon go to Marbruk. Vicereeve Pelidil, I want you to travel ahead with my brother's body. You will make the funeral arrangements.
Pelidil: Yes... yes, Your Grace. I understand.
Ayrenn: Spare no expense for his funeral. All in the Dominion are welcome. All may pay their respects to a hero.
