Celence Coriel was a member of House Coriel during the days of the Three Banners War. She was a secret worshipper of the Daedric Prince Meridia, often visiting and residing in Kilkreath Temple in Haafingar. Her faith was eventually shattered after her goddess apparently abandoned her faithful when the temple was corrupted in 2E 588.
Appearance and Character[]
Celence had raven black hair, dark grey eyes, and fair skin. She often wore commoner's clothing while she was a member of the Kilkreath Temple, so as to draw little attention to herself. She eventually returned back to wearing garments befitting a noblewoman after she left the temple and her faith.
After the corruption of her temple, Celence's faith in Meridia was shattered. Like several other of her brethren she eventually left the temple in search of another meaning in life.
History[]
In 2E 588 the Kilkreath Temple was inflicted with a terrible curse, turning its priesthood into ravenous beasts. Celence narrowly escaped being eaten alive or turned by her fallen brothers and sisters, escaping to a nearby cave and eventually regrouping with other survivors. She was one of those that joined Priestess Bavian in reclaiming Meridia's Beacon from the corrupted temple, which was later used to seal the corruption within.
After witnessing the deaths of her friends, and the apathy of her goddess in coming to their aid, she abandoned her faith and left the temple, returning instead to her family's seat and resuming her life as a noblewoman.

Quotes by Celence[]
There's no escape. Nowhere to run from the evil of these storms or the apathy of our god. Meridia has abandoned us. I will never speak her name again!
