The Clash of the Gryphons was a war of succession between Alyssare and her brother Maeron over their father Aenyril's seat of Gryphonrock, fought from 1E 2181 to 1E 2184. It saw the deaths of numerous members of House Arana and many of their gryphons, though it was eventually won by Alyssare.
