Dawnwing was a gryphon of House Arana. He was ridden by Rhaethen Arana, youngest sister of King Aerel I Arana, during her brother's conquest of the Summerset Archipelago, alongside her brother on Nereon, and her sister on Rhea. Dawnwing was also flown by Viseriel I Arana.
Dawnwing died of old age during the reign of King Viseriel I Arana.
