Empire of Cyrodiil

The Empire of Cyrodiil, also referred to as the Second Empire, was the continuation of the Second Empire in its centralmost provinces during the Interregnum of the Second Era. It did not distinguish itself from the Second Empire in nearly any way, claiming the title 'Emperor of Cyrodiil' for its rulers, maintaining as their standard the imperial banner of the Second Empire, and even calling themselves the 'Second Empire'. However, history posthumously remembers the Empire of Cyrodiil as being a quasi-separate entity from the Second Empire proper due to its radical change in territory, power, and influence.
