The Frostedge Company was a Nordic sellsword company that existed around the time of the Three Banners War. Despite its captain's death in 2E 582, it is known that the company continued to exist for several more years before disbanding sometime in the 580s.

History[]

The company was hired in 2E 582 by Lord Serien Peake of Foxford, a lord of the Second Daggerfall Covenant, in order to cause chaos across northeastern Skyrim, particularly the island of Bleakrock where the company was instructed to reawaken long-dormant daedric magic in the abandoned Hozzin's Folly mine. Lord Serien was initially hesitant to hire the company, as their leader was notorious for breaking contracts whenever he felt threatened, but funds were provided by the Covenant to hire whomever would cause unrest.

Their attempts were eventually foiled by the forces of local thanes loyal to the Ebonheart Pact.

Composition[]

The company of around 200 men consisted of lightly armoured skirmishers and a handful of archers. The company was not well trained or equipped enough to pose a significant threat to a lord's army, though they could successfully raid and pillage.

The vast majority of the force was composed of outlaws looking to continue their work without the constant threat of the noose, and was as a result not well organised.
