House Dorenis of Cey-Tarn is a noble House from the Crownlands. Their seat of Cey-Tarn is one of the largest castles in the region, and used to be the seat of a kingdom. Their blazon is a red lion with a forked tail over a white field with a gold tressure. Their words are "Though All Others Flee".

House Dorenis is historically far wealthier than the other Houses of the Crownlands, save for the royal House of Alinor.

History[]

Hundred Kingdoms[]

The Dorenis' were petty kings in the earliest days of the Merethic Era. The Summer King Eroan I Caidan defeated a Dorenis king and conquered Cey-Tarn prior to the coming of the Aldmer. King Ellisar the Fearless was killed by x during the Fall of Cey-Tarn. The Dorenis' of Cey-Tarn were within the domains of King X and Queen X, although their region in the modern-day Crownlands eventually passed to the Summer Kings under Queen Arlanya the Conqueror, passing between the Summer Kings and Sea Kings for hundreds of years, though it was finally passed to House Arana after their unification of the Kingdom of Summer and Kingdom of the Sea and the creation of the Crownlands.

Cey-Tarn historically failed to conquer Oleander Point in what is now the modern-day northern Crownlands.

Arana Era[]

During Aerel's Invasion Lord Dorenis joined his leige in opposing Aerel the Gryphon, though was slain fighting against Aerel's gryphons during the Battle of Blue Fields. Upon hearing of her father's death, Lord Dorenis' daughter, Ilyana Dorenis, took command to Cey-Tarn's garrison and prepared what defence she could muster. Some weeks later Aerel's host approached the castle, marching alongside the forces of the Norlands. Recognising the futility of attempting to defend against such great a host, Ilyana surrendered and swore fealty to her new king.

During the Church Uprising, Lord Fenian Dorenis slew Lord Aithen Trelorien in the battle of Liriel.
