House Longhouse of the Imperial City, more commonly known as the Longhouse dynasty or simply the Longhouse Emperors, was a noble family of Reachman descent who once ruled the Empire of Cyrodiil during the Interregnum period of the Second Era. The Longhouse coat of arms is a Reachman sigil (containing antlers), black on tan.
The House was founded in 2E 533 with the crowning of Emperor Durcorach I Longhouse, following his four-year-long campaign to conquer Cyrodiil.
The Longhouse line was a short-lived, lasting only forty-four years over the course of three emperors before being deposed in a rebellion led by Duke Varen Aquilarios of Chorrol. While they enjoyed much support from Imperial nobles during the time of Durcorach's conquest, by the reign of Leovic I the nobility had largely turned on the Longhouses, in no small part due to their continued practice of Reachman cultural customs which Imperials saw as barbaric.
