House Telarion is an Altmeri noble House from the Summerset Archipelago, and the current royal House of Alinor. A cadet branch of House Arana, House Telarion was founded by Maethen Telarion, a son of Prince Maeron Arana. House Telarion is named for the silver of the gryphon in Prince Maeron's personal coat of arms, which was later taken by Maethen as the arms of House Telarion. Additionally, the word 'Telarion' is a modified version of 'Telarpen', meaning "silver noble" in Ayleidoon.

Their sigil is a gryphon, silver on black. Their words are unknown. Among the traits passed on to the Telarions by the Arana were blue eyes, olive skin, and silver hair.

Throughout their history, numerous Telarion pretenders made multiple attempts to claim the Marble Throne of Alinor, often instigating bloody civil wars in the process. However, none of these attempts succeeded, and the Aranas ruled in an unbroken line until the death of Queen Ayrenn I Arana, marking the extinction of their House. Upon the ascension of Queen Alwinarwe I Neiaron to the throne, the Telarions provoked a renewed rebellion, which also failed. It was not until the 4E 22 when the Thalmor put House Neiaron to death, that the Telarions were invited to the Summerset Isles to assume the Marble Throne.

Quotes[]

Aenyril I stepped over his eldest in the succession. And how much pain, grief, war, and murder grew from that? I know you favour Endorian. But what of Ingaelen's sons? Or their sons? The Telarion pretenders troubled the Aranas for generations, until your grandmother crushed the last of them on the Steps.
