The Keepers of the Crypt, also known simply as the Keepers, were a knightly order established after the death of High Kinlord Sirion Rilis of Firsthold. It was their duty to keep the High Kinlord's spirit bound in the crypt of Highcrest for all time as justice for his crimes of cavorting with daedra and sacrificing to them his own subjects.
The Keepers were based in Highcrest, from where House Rilis' heir apparent ruled and had their family crypt, and in which Sirion's spirit was imprisoned in the lowest level.
