Molacar was an Altmeri worshipper of Vaermina during the Three Banners War of the Second Era, as well as a member of the Supernal Dreamers cult in Cyrodiil. He took advantage of the war-torn Empire to convert the desperate and destitute, proselytising to as many as he could in order to convert them to the worship of Vaermina, and indoctrinate them into the cult.
Appearance and Character[]
By the year 2E 582 Molacar had dark brown hair, almost black in colour, as well as bright blue eyes and light olive skin. His head was almost always covered by the hood of his humble brown robes, but his large bushy beard was prominent. He was a known magic-user, as he carried a staff with him wherever he travelled, although he often disguised it as a walking stick.
Molacar was a zealous devotee of the Daedric Prince Vaermina, and had no qualms about killing those who resisted her holy words. However, he often used his potent oratory skills to win over groups of people to his cause, usually the most vulnerable individuals due to the devastation of the ongoing war. He was skilled in luring in desperate people with promises of deliverance, only to indoctrinate them into the cult of the Supernal Dreamers.
History[]
It is unknown exactly where Molacar came from, although it is suspected he was originally from Cyrodiil before the onset of the Three Banners War. It is likely that he was indoctrinated into the Supernal Dreamers during the reign of Emperor Leovic I Longhouse or even earlier, as by 2E 582 he had become a Nightcaller in the cult. When daedra worship was legalised by Leovic I, Molacar took to openly worshipping Vaermina and proselytising in her name. Eventually the Longhouse dynasty was overthrown during the Colovian Revolt, and daedra worship was once more outlawed until the regency of Clivia Tharn, when worship of Molag Bal in particular was permitted once again. By this time it is believed that Molacar left urban centres for the rural countryside, where battles were ongoing due to the Alliance War, and many had become crippled, homeless, or refugees.
Preaching to the poor and destitute led Molacar to recruit many new members for the Supernal Dreamers. However, word of Molacar in the historical record goes silent after the 2E 500s, indicating that he may have either been killed in Cyrodiil during the war, or fell out of favour by local worshippers.
Quotes by Molacar[]
Always remember, dreamers, that nightmares are Vaermina's truest sendings, piercing the veils that prevent us from seeing the world as it truly is!
—Molacar to his small congregation
Last night, dreamers. Vaermina sent an Omen of Mortal Foreboding to me! It ordained a death among us, I sense a prisoner will soon die.
—Molacar
In Vaermina's realm of Quagmire, we shall all be born again, to live in her presence forever! The best among us shall aid the Omens in their holy work.
—Molacar
The presence of unbelievers clouds our dreams and nightmares, cutting us off from Vaermina. Convert all you meet, slay those who refuse!
—Molacar calling for the deaths of non-devotees
