Elorne's name is NOT set in stone, and I am open for alternative suggestions. Here is the kind of name I am looking for:
There are three kinds of geographic region names that can be used in any given Tamrielic region. You can have regions that end in '-lands' (e.g., Summerlands or Norlands). You can also have regions that are simple English and are NOT compound words (e.g., Rift, Pale, and March), though you can also turn these names into compound words without having '-lands' in it (e.g., Eastmarch). You can also have unique "fantasy-esque" names. I tend to avoid the "fantasy-esque" names whenever possible, though if I need to use one I tend to use grounded words that are not too fanciful.
The Summerset Archipelago already has its own share of regions that end in '-lands', so there will be no more of those. It already has the Vale and the March, though it could do with more of these simple English region names. However, I am trying to implement at LEAST one "fantasy-esque" name, and I tried to do so with 'Elorne', the region of ruled from Shimmerene.
If you have any suggestions, PLEASE ADD THEM to this talk page. Even if they do not fit with my guidelines above, anything will help. If they are not used for Shimmerene's region, they will at least be used for Dusk's or Lillandril's.
