The Thief is a constellation. It is composed of nine bright stars and ten dim stars that form the shape of dagger-wielding thief.

The Thief burns the brightest in the sky during the month of Evening Star. It is a common superstition among some cultures of Tamriel to believe that those born under the Thief are more prone to risk-taking behavour, though such risk-taking often results in them dying sooner than others.
The Thief is considered one of the primary three constellations of the night sky, known as a Guardian Constellation, charged with protecting the Lover, Shadow, and Tower from the wrath of the Serpent.
